What is Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI)?
Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) is a software defined form of infrastructure, where all elements of the traditional hardware defined system are virtualised and run on a conventional on-premise server. The virtualised aspects of HCI include virtualised networking, virtualised SAN and virtualised compute.
This private virtualised data center then emulates a similar model to the public cloud, with easy scaling and provisioning that doesn’t sacrifice availability and reliability, whilst still giving you complete control of your environment.
